Notice under battery legislation
Because batteries and rechargeable batteries can be included in our programmes, we are obliged to remind you that after the battery law (BattG): batteries and storage batteries must not be disposed of in the household waste, but you are legally obliged to return of used batteries and rechargeable batteries. Old batteries may contain harmful substances that can harm the environment or your health with improper storage or disposal. Batteries included but also important raw materials such as iron, zinc, manganese or nickel and can be recycled. You can send back either the batteries after use to us or returned in the immediate vicinity (E.g. in the trade or in communal collection points or at our shipping warehouse) free of charge. The levy in points of sale is up to end users for the usual amounts as well as limited, which the Distributor as new batteries in its range causes such waste or has led.
The sign and the crossed out wheeled bin means that you must not dispose of batteries with household waste. Under this sign you will also find the following symbols have the following meanings:
Pb: battery contains lead
Cd: battery contains cadmium
Hg: battery contains mercury
